In addition to the traditional investments - i.e. in particular investments in interest rate instruments and equity investments - there is a number of other asset classes which complement the investment universe and are of great significance to the client for reasons of diversification.
They include, among others, investments in private equity and hedge funds, which are presented in this programme.

'Hedge Funds'
After completing this module, you will

• know the basic organization, regulation, asset restrictions and fee structure of hedge funds
• know about important asset strategies for hedge funds and understand in particular the most important types of directional, event-driven and relative value strategies
• understand the concept as well as the advantages and disadvantages of a fund of hedge funds

'Private Equity'
After completing this module you will

• know the fundamental focus, typical cash flow structures and investment forms of private equity
• be familiar with the most important arrangements of private equity funds; you will in particular understand the strategies for leveraged buyouts, venture capital, mezzanine capital, growth capital and distressed assets
• be familiar with the most important options for exit strategies in private equity investment
• understand the differences between direct and indirect assets in private equity investments

Self-study via interactive e-learning module with discoverable content and videos plus final learning control via online test.

Learning control

Your online self-control test consists of 15 to 20 multiple choice questions. You will pass the test if you reach at least 70% of the maximum score.
